POSITION:  Student Teacher – Elementary and Secondary Schools

LOCATION:  District-wide

LICENSE:  Valid Nevada Substitute Teaching License

NOTE: This position begins the 2020-2021 school year.

• Three (3) letters of recommendation dated within the last two years.

SALARY:  $13.40 per hour or $100.50 per day; Long term pay begins 21st day of a consecutive assignment (20 consecutive days in the same position).  $17.00 per hour or $127.50 per day.  This is a non - benefited position.

All applicants must have a valid substitute teaching license from the Nevada Department of Education. Information on obtaining a Substitute Certification can be found at www.teachers.nv.gov . A valid driver’s license/identification card issued by the state of residence is required by selected applicants.

Student teachers needed to fill elementary and secondary vacancies when regular elementary or secondary teachers are absent.  Applicants selected must be able to teach a variety of subjects to students of the Carson City School District and work on an On-Call as needed basis ONLY. Bilingual preferred. 

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS THE PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN TEST.

INTERVIEW AND EXAMINATION:  An appointment will need to be made with the Associate Superintendent of Human Resources for Student Teaching approval.
